About Camile
Camile has been with Hua Nani Partners for five years, partnering with public, nonprofit, and philanthropic organizations to advance equitable climate solutions and policies. She specializes in Hawaiʻi state and local climate and clean energy policy and leads HNP’s Hawaiʻi-based portfolio of work. Camile has developed federal, state, and local policy engagement strategies; advised philanthropic funders entering the climate space; led coalition-building and stakeholder engagement efforts; provided technical support to states applying for and implementing federal climate funding; and contributed to many of Hua Nani’s policy memos and publications.

Outside of her work with Hua Nani, she served as the volunteer Policy Coordinator for the Surfrider Foundation Oʻahu Chapter for three years, advancing coastal protection policies and increasing civic engagement across the island. She is a 2024 Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI) Fellow. 

Prior to joining Hua Nani Partners, Camile worked in the private sector for more than two years as a lead software test engineer at an international automotive company. Camile graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering and a certificate in Aerospace Engineering. At Duke, she was president of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and captain of the Duke Dancing Devils.

Camile is originally from Tampa, Florida and currently resides in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. In her free time, you can find Camile hiking, freediving, shelling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
